What does it involve?
Without structure, information security is often a case of mopping the floor with the tap running. By taking the CIA triad as our basis, we make sure we look not only at "keeping hackers out", but also at things like back-ups and human error in databases.

KNB code of conduct on information security
Formally, the regulations do not state literally: "You may only work with ISO 27001 certified parties." In practice, however, the answer is "yes".
Burden of proof
As a civil-law notary you are responsible for the security of personal data (GDPR) and for professional secrecy. Without a certification such as ISO 27001, you have to demonstrate yourself that your supplier is secure. For an average office that is technically and legally close to impossible.

With the aiNotaris Data Shield we developed ourselves, your clients' data never leaves our infrastructure. Unlike public AI tools, we run aiNotaris on our own private, Dutch infrastructure. Our unique Data Shield anonymises names, citizen service numbers and other privacy-sensitive information before any AI processing. Your data is never used by us to train public models.
